Meet Ms. Shon Newsome — Founder of MediPlanMatch.com

Shon Newsome brings heart, expertise, and vision to MediPlanMatch.com, making her the ideal person to lead a team dedicated to finding the Medicare plan that fits an individual's unique needs. With a rich background in solution design and communication, Shon combines product knowledge with a deep sense of compassion for the people she serves.

A  graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Shon earned her degree in Engineer Management providing her with an excellent balance between designing and communicating solutions. Her early career began in Classroom Automation and Training, where she worked closely with Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers to understand what they needed in their classrooms. She then transformed that feedback into thoughtful, budget-friendly technology solutions—clearly communicating these plans to superintendents, school boards, and educators alike. With a family of educators behind her, Shon naturally excelled in this role and earned the prestigious Systems Engineer Symposium award—an honor reserved for the top 1% of her company.

Over the past decade, Shon has dedicated herself to the Life & Health insurance space, focusing on the Senior Market. She began her journey as a dedicated representative for the Texas Retired Teachers Association, where her commitment and compassion earned her multiple awards and, more importantly, a deep love for serving the senior community.
 

After returning to her hometown to care for her aging mother, Shon found new purpose in helping others navigate the often overwhelming world of Medicare. She went through the extensive training to become  a work-from-home Medicare Advantage representative.  It was during the Annual Enrollment Period that she felt a deep calling to make the experience easier and more supportive.

Through MediPlanMatch.com, Shon brings together her lifelong passion for helping others, her process-driven mindset, and her gift for communication—all in service of supporting seniors as they navigate their healthcare options.
